English: The top floor of the building where I live has a large patio, and some meeting rooms. Several of my neighbours were having a meeting when they saw a Red-tailed Hawk eating a pigeon, while perched on my building's parapet. My neighbour tells me the meal took longer than one might think -- long enough for her to go her apartment to get her camera. The Red-tailed Hawk was about 3 or 4 metres away when she took that photo.
The wooded area across the bay is Ward's Island, part of the Toronto Islands. |
